Blackstone Winery was founded in 1990 with the goal of producing approachable, full-bodied, well-balanced wines. We believe in good friends, good food and juicy conversations-and our wines are the ideal complement.

Our Monterey County winery might be thought of as a friendly neighborhood destination that just happens to crush over 35,000 tons of grapes a year. This capacity lets us take advantage of the amazing grape quality of the Central Coast. You can sample the results in our spacious tasting room, and peruse our unique gift shop for that special gift or gourmet treat. Work it all off in a stroll around the grounds, which feature a pond, vineyards, a gazebo, and a rolling lawn where local events are often held. Whether you're interested in a wine for everyday, to give as a gift, or to save for a special occasion, you'll find it in our portfolio.

Our Winemaker Select wines are fruit-forward, easy to drink, and food-friendly - perfect for everyday celebrations. The cornerstone of this portfolio is Blackstone's California Merlot, the number-one-selling domestic red wine in the United States at any price.

The microclimates and soils of Sonoma County produce a wide range of flavors and our Sonoma Reserve wines highlight the best of them.  Artisan techniques and individual barrel selection let the character of each vineyard come through, producing wines with bold fruit, complexity and a rich texture.

In addition to our Winemaker Select and Sonoma Reserve wines, which can be found in fine wine and retail shops across the U.S., we also produce a collection of wines sold exclusively at our winery.  These Tasting Room Wines come from California's premiere appellations and are produced in limited quantities.

We produce Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Riesling, Malvasia Bianca, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Zinfandel, a special blend we call Rubric, and Port.
