The Beach Resort Monterey is proud of its newly renovated Cafe´ Beach Restaurant. Serving only the freshest California Coast Cuisine, the restaurant’s new décor combines beach front simplicity with sophistication and simplicity to provide the perfect dining experience. Located on the hotel’s top floor, Café Beach offers panoramic view’s of Monterey skyline, the ocean and miles of unspoiled beaches while dining in a relaxed and comfortable setting. Café Beach is open seven days a week, for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and features daily dinner specials, specialty drinks and sinfully delicious desserts.
Using the inspiration of our beautiful center coast and all of the natural resources, Executive Chef Jose Velasquez has been evolved the dining experience over the 19 years has devoted to the Beach Resort. He starting as a Dishwasher at the age of 16 and quickly working his way through all aspects of the kitchen operations. He was mentored by Jorge Flete, the Monterey Peninsula Country Club, Jean Hubbert, Executive Chef at the Old Bath House and Jim Gallivan at the Le Cordon Blue Atlanta Culinary Academy.
Chef Velasquez has been certified through the American Hotel Lodging Association and has an insatiable desire for learning and independent study. His creativity and benevolent work environment causes him to have a loyal staff. Chef Velasquez serves up some of the Monterey peninsula most creative fresh California Coast Cuisine.
