Carriage House was built on land that once held the home and plumbing business of Waldo Hicks, an old timer in Carmel. It was the last hotel approved to be built in Carmel, in 1975! The architect was Gene Takagawa, and the builder was Joe Fratessa, another old timer on the peninsula.
