The Mucky Duck is nestled in the heart of Monterey California where a vast array of shops, activities and experiences abound.

Owners John, Jennifer & Eric Waddell transport you to what feels like a secluded restaurant hideaway in a 1924 Spanish-style adobe structure. The fire lit outdoor patio and old world feeling indoor dining rooms are decorated with numerous pictures, mugs, and fireplaces, which contribute to the Mucky Duck restaurant's traditional yet relaxing atmosphere.

Lunch Menu

PUB BURGER - $7.95

1⁄2 pound burger topped with bacon and imported english cheddar and served with lettuce, tomato, pickle, and onion. Your choice of steak or curly fries. Add sautéed mushrooms and onions. $9.25

TURKEY SANDWICH - $7.95

Fresh baked turkey, lettuce and our homemade cranberry sauce served on squaw bread and served with potato chips.

CURRY SHRIMP SANDWICH - $7.95

Bay shrimp mixed in a light curry infused mayonnaise with diced bell peppers, served on squaw bread with potato chips.

BLUE CHEESE STEAK SANDWICH - $10.95

Marinated new york steak strips, grilled to perfection and topped with maytag blue cheese, served on toasted garlic bread with your choice of steak or curly fries. 

REUBEN CLASSIC - $7.95

Warm corned beef and sauerkraut on rye, top with thousand island dressing and melted monterey jack cheese. Your choice of steak or curly fries. 

BREADED CHICKEN SANDWICH - $7.95

Tender chicken, lightly breaded, cooked to a golden brown topped with lettuce tomato, onions and garlic aioli. Served with your choice of potato chips or fries.

AVOCADO CHICKEN SANDWICH - $7.95

Marinated 7oz. chicken breast topped with avocado and melted monterey jack cheese, served on squaw bread, with your choice

BEEF WELLINGTON - $15.95

A classic british dish. Fillet of beef seasoned, grilled, then topped with a mushroom duxelle and wrapped in a puff pastry sitting on a bed of creamy mash and covered with a red wine demi sauce. 

FISH AND CHIPS - $9.95

Sierra Nevada beer battered Icelandic cod, deep fried to a golden brown and served with steak fries, tartar sauce and cocktail sauce.

BANGERS AND MASH - $11.75

Plump juicy english bangers, grilled and topped with caramelized onions, served with mashed potatoes, brandie beef gravy and imported english beans.

COTTAGE PIE - $11.25

A traditional british meal, ground beef cooked in a tomato sauce with onions and house spices topped with mashed potatoes and baked to a golden brown. Served with mixed fresh vegetables.

PISTACHIO CRUSTED HALIBUT - $17.95

Seared 8oz. halibut steak baked with a thin pistachio crust and drizzled with a champagne herb sauce, served with sautéed broccolini and rice pilaf.

OSSO BUCO - $17.95

A braised and slow roasted 12oz. lamb shank sat atop a bed of mash and finished
with an Osso Buco sauce.

FILET MIGNON - $19.95

8 oz. filet mignon cooked to perfection on a bed of wild mushrooms served with creamy au gratin potatoes and finished with a red wine demi sauce.

THE MUCKY DUCK - $18.95

A Mucky Duck favorite! Roasted maple leaf duck set atop roasted potatoes, served with grand marnier infused vegetables and finished with a strawberry merlot sauce.

TORTILLA CRUSTED SALMON - $14.95

A 9oz. salmon fillet pan seared and then baked with a light tortilla crust, served with rice pilaf and fresh vegetables, topped off with a roasted red bell pepper coulis.

PANCETTA WRAPPED PORK CHOPS - $18.95

A must try; first we season and grill a 10oz. french cut pork chop, wrap it in thinly sliced pancetta and sear it to perfection. Served with a wild mushroom risotto, fresh vegetables, and then finished with a “Strongbow Cider” italian cream sauce.

BLACKENED CHICKEN - $13.95

Tender 8oz. blackened chicken breast served with creamy mash potatoes and mixed fresh vegetables.

BEEF BOLOGNESE - $13.95

Ground beef sautéed with mushrooms, garlic, and onions in a red wine tomato sauce topped with asiago cheese over fresh pasta du jour.

DUCK AND WILD MUSHROOM RISOTTO - $18.95

Made with slow roasted maple leaf duck, wild mushrooms, green onions and an assortment of seasonings then finished with a touch of cream and topped with asiago cheese.

VEGETABLE PASTA - $9.95

An assortment of fresh vegetables lightly sautéed and tossed in a pasta de jour, finished in a garlic white wine herb sauce and topped with asiago cheese.

SHRIMP NANTUA - $16.95

The mucky ducks take on a classic french dish. Sauteed prawns in a brandied lobster cream sauce. Served with sauteed vegetables and rice pilaf.

MUCKY DUCK PIZZA - $7.25

Made with our homemade marinara sauce and topped with melted monterey jack and english cheddar. Add your choice of toppings; sausage,mushrooms, bacon, chicken, beef, garden vegetables, goat cheese, or tomatoes.
